The journey of the Group begun in early 50's as fabric wholesalers' from the city of Kolkata in the eastern part of India. It was then one of the largest wholesale markets in the country. In a short period of time with unfettered commitment and clear and transparent business policies the Group became a well regarded name.
In the year 1992 with the foresightedness of our chairman Mr. Sunil Bhartiya, the Group ventured into manufacturing and exporting garments to Europe and the Middle East. With the onset of the millennium both sons of our chairman Mr. Nikhil Bhartiya and Mr. Yogesh Bhartiya joined the Group. Then, Aumento Group which means "rising" was formed with two of its arms as Aumento Cotex Industries Pvt. Ltd. and Nichiketa Garments Company, both manufacturing and exporting garments.
